  1.  What is the number of international students enrolled at Karabük University?
A total of 11,585 international students from 103 different countries study at Karabük University in associate, undergraduate and graduate programs.
  1.  How are international student quotas determined?
For each academic year, the quotas for Turkish students and international students that universities can admit to each program are determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). These quotas are independent of each other. If the quota determined for Turkish students is not filled, the vacant quota cannot be allocated to international students.
  1. How do international students apply to Karabük University? 
International students can apply to Karabük University only through yos.karabuk.edu.tr, the official international student application system of the university. This system is available in Turkish, English, Arabic, French, Russian, Arabic, French and English for easy access to candidates from all over the world.
  1. Is there any fee charged to international students during the application, admission and registration processes?
In line with the vision of "Science-Centered Student-Friendly University", Karabük University does not charge any fees under any name and under any circumstances during the application and admission processes in order to ensure easy access of successful international students to the university. Students who are eligible to enroll in the university pay only 1000 TL as registration fee.
  1. Does Karabük University work with any intermediary company or agency in the application, admission and registration processes of international students?
Karabuk University does not work with any firm, agency or company at any stage of the application, admission and registration processes. Prospective students can easily make their individual applications through the university's international student application system (yos.karabuk.edu.tr).
  1. How do international students apply to Karabük University?
International student candidates who want to study at Karabük University can only apply with TR-YÖS score or high school diploma score in accordance with the "Principles of Admission of Students from Abroad" determined by YÖK. Applications can only be made to the Dentistry and Medicine Faculties and the Medical Engineering Department of Karabük University with TR-YÖS score.
  1. How are the applications evaluated?
Candidates make preferences with TR-YÖS score or high school diploma score (except Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry and Medical Engineering), which are the scores accepted by YÖK, and placement is made according to the superiority of points among the applicants. Thanks to the placement system based on the superiority of points, the most successful candidates are accepted to Karabük University in each application period.
  1. Can international students enter each department with diploma points?
International students cannot enter every department with diploma points. For example, Karabük University accepts students to the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry and the Department of Medical Engineering only with the TR-YÖS score made by ÖSYM. Karabuk University does not make placement to these programs with diploma points under any circumstances.
  1. How is the authenticity/accuracy of international students' high school diplomas checked?
Candidates who have the right to enroll in the university are required to declare their high school diploma with apostille (certification annotation) from Turkish foreign representations or official institutions of the countries they are citizens of. Karabuk University does not register with any diploma that has not been certified by official authorities.
  1. Can people who have entered the country illegally enroll in the university?
In order to enroll in Karabük University, candidates must have a valid (unexpired) passport and visa. Otherwise, Karabük University does not register any candidate.
  1. Is a health report required from international students during registration?
During registration, candidates must submit a document issued by official health institutions operating in Turkey, showing that they do not carry any infectious disease (AIDS, tuberculosis, etc.). Karabuk University does not register candidates who do not submit this document or who are found to have a contagious disease. 
  1. Do international students receive free education?
It is not possible for international students to study without paying tuition fees. Karabuk University announces the amount of tuition fees to be paid by international students on the university website before each academic year.
  1. Do international students have to learn Turkish?
It is compulsory for all international students enrolled at Karabük University to receive Turkish education and learn Turkish.
  1. Can international students without an equivalency certificate receive education at Karabük University?
For international students, a document issued by the Ministry of National Education showing that the high schools they graduated from are equivalent to high schools in Turkey (equivalency certificate) is mandatory.
  1. Which disciplinary provisions are international students subject to?
Turkish or international students enrolled at Karabük University are subject to the legislation of YÖK and Karabük University regarding student disciplinary affairs without any discrimination.
