Sudan Ankara Ambassador Adil İbrahim Mustafa Karabük University Rector Prof. Dr. He visited Refik Polat in his office. Ambassador Mustafa said they wanted to improve relations with Turkey, "I began to work as an ambassador two months ago. We have good bilateral relations with Turkey for many years. I can say that we are very influenced by your culture. So much so that there are common words we use. It's like a pharmacy, a hospital. President of Turkey Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan has visited the Republic of the Sudan in 2016. We want to develop relations with Turkey in every field. Of course, one of the priority areas is higher education. There are Sudanese students studying at Karabuk University. We want more students to study at your university. We can declare Karabuk University and one of our universities in Sudan as "Sister University". " said.
 
Rector Prof. Dr. Refik Polat stated that he visited Sudan in 2018 in his statement regarding the visit and said, “During our visit, we had meetings with some universities in Sudan and signed agreements. We can cooperate not only on student exchange but also on many issues. We can be stakeholders in scientific events such as joint congresses and research projects. Many students from Africa are receiving education at Karabuk University. We would also like to increase the number of Sudanese students. However, this exchange must be mutual. In particular, our students studying at the Faculty of Theology can study Arabic in Sudan. I would also like to mention that Karabük University is in the top 1000 in the Times Higher Education (THE) ranking of the world's best universities for 2021. 6. rankings entering this university in Turkey. We can provide facilities for the students who entered the first thousand in the higher education exam held in Sudan to settle in Karabük University. Sudan is our brother and friend country. We are ready to do whatever it takes to improve the relations between the two countries. We would like to host the rectors from Sudan. " he spoke.
