  1. Why can’t I see some programs during the preference phase?
During the application phase, candidates can only see programs for which their application scores are sufficient. Therefore, candidates cannot view programs for which their scores are not adequate. As a result, candidates can only make preferences from the programs they can see.
Karabük University admits students to the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry solely based on TR-YÖS scores, which are administered by the Republic of  Türkiye Measurement, Selection, and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in many countries. The minimum score required for these programs is 400 out of 500. Therefore, students who do not have a TR-YÖS score or whose TR-YÖS score is below 400 cannot choose these programs.

  1. What should I pay attention to during the application process?
It is crucial to pay attention to the following points during the application process:
- Ensure that all information is filled out accurately and completely.
- Upload the original copies of the required documents.
- Make sure that the information provided by the applicant matches the details in the documents.
- Correctly select the type of score used for preferences (TR-YÖS Score or High School Diploma Score).
- Conduct the entire preference process through a single account.

NOTE: If there is a discrepancy between the documents and information provided during the application and those submitted during registration, the candidate's acceptance letter will be canceled, and the registration process will not be completed.

  1. What happens if I create multiple accounts and apply?
Candidates can make additional preferences with the same account after each evaluation is completed. Therefore, there is no need to create multiple accounts.
Our coordination office reviews all applications individually and considers only the first application if a candidate has multiple submissions. All other applications made with different accounts are deemed invalid, and those accounts are blocked.

  1. What fees do I need to pay during the university registration process?
The university does not require any payment during the application phase.

  1. When are the registration dates? Can the registration dates mentioned in the acceptance letter be extended?
The acceptance letter, which candidates receive from yos.karabuk.edu.tr after a successful application, specifies the registration date range. Students are expected to complete their registration within the date range mentioned in the acceptance letter.
However, in some cases (such as delays in the visa process), students may not be able to complete their registration within the specified dates. In such cases, the registration dates can be extended upon the student's request.
In order to effectively use the University's international student quota, students who want to extend their registration date must pay the 2-course fee of the Turkish Preparatory Education (20,000 TL) in advance via the online system or via EFT/Bank Transfer. Students who have completed the payment should send an email to iso@karabuk.edu.tr with the subject line "Request for Extension of Registration Dates", including their application number, full name, and payment receipt number.

  1. My university application was successful, but I want to use my registration right for the next year. Is this possible?
For candidates whose applications are successful, the registration dates are limited to the dates specified in the acceptance letter. Although in some cases the registration period can be extended by 2-3 months, it cannot be deferred to the following year. In this situation, the student must reapply for the next year.
